Year 4 have been studying the Tudors this term. They were lucky enough to have a royal visit from King Henry VIII to bring their learning of the topic to life. They've learnt about the Tudor dynasty, the fate of Henry's 6 wives, Tudor daily life and even played some Tudor sports. In literacy, they have written newspaper reports about Henry's divorce from Anne of Cleves. In art, they have channelled their inner Hans Holbein and produced some spectacular Tudor portraits. In dance, the children have learnt and performed a Tudor dance to 'Greensleeves.'

The children have also been enjoying the run up to Christmas! They have used their understanding of electrical circuits to create amazing light-up Christmas cards. The children have used what they have learnt in science this term to help them construct a simple series circuit with a switch.
