Year 3 have been busy taking part in exciting pupil-led investigations for British Science Week! Working in teams, the children designed their own experiments, choosing what they wanted to explore and investigate. They are now putting the finishing touches on their experiment posters, ready to showcase their findings in a whole school competition next term.

We have been working on instruction writing on the theme of how to mummify a body. Europe Class acted out the process. The children had great fun mummifying each other

The children loved dressing up for World Book Day, there was much excitement as we saw what characters each child came to school dressed as. We enjoyed teaming up with Year 1 for the afternoon for a special buddy reading session.

For our Microsoft Showcase morning, we have been using Book Creator to design our own digital book with facts about the Egyptians. We imported images, wrote using digital ink and even added information by speaking into the recording audio tool. We have also worked collaboratively and followed instructions on the Lego We Do kits, to build different creations. Once the designs were made, we used coding knowledge to make it move and make sounds.
